We also provide a CORRECTION service of your documents if you have already written them in English, which ensures the fidelity of the translation of your document. As with our translation service, we retain the nuances of meaning. Wrongly constructed sentences are reformed into correct English familiar to English-speaking people. We also do spelling correction.
 
You receive your finished document with the corrections incorporated, and for your interest, an accompanying version of the original document showing the errors in red and the corrections in blue.

PRICES.
 
£14 fee (all inclusive) for each dossier undertaken + 4.5 pence per word (all inclusive) for TRANSLATION or CORRECTION.
 
Maximum dossier size = 8000 words; documents containing more than 8000 words are divided into several dossiers.

BOOKS / LENGTHY DOCUMENTS.
If you wish to spread out the cost of translating or correcting your book or document, you do not have to submit it in one go. You can divide your document into several dossiers (for example of 4000 or up to 8000 words), and have them translated one after the other in your own time.
 
ARE YOU A WEBSITE CREATOR ?
At our affordable rates, you can ask a slightly higher price from your customer for the translation of his / her website and take advantage of the profit margin. (Obviously, it would be a disincentive for the customer if your profit margin is too high.)
 
COMMUNICATION ACCOUNT.
Do you receive e-mails, letters, faxes, etc., in French ? If so, then think about our "Communication Account" which enables the translation of several communications (e-mails, letters, etc.) separately, as and when you need it, without paying the £14 dossier fee each time.

EVERYTHING BY E-MAIL.
You send your document in (without images) and receive it back by e-mail. The following file formats are accepted: MS Word, .doc, .docx, Text, or simply text in an e-mail.
 
YOUR OPTIONS AND TERMS OF PAYMENT.

Notice to bona fide clients:
SCORPIO provides an independent freelance service. Bona fide clients will understand that time spent working on their projects must be remunerated. Clients who have the premeditated intention not to pay their invoices must be excluded. Therefore, payment in advance is necessary in order that Mr. d'Oudney undertakes to translate or correct your document/s. See below.


On receipt of your free quote, if you wish to order you can make your payment by credit or bank card by using the PayPal invoice which will be sent to your e-mail address at the same time as your quote. PayPal is the world leader in online payments, with more than 230 million clients.

 

You can pay the total in advance or, if you are ordering for the first time, 30% of the total words + the dossier fees applicable according to the number of words. (1 dossier fee minimum). (The option of paying 30% is not available if the total amounts to less than £40. In this case, the total is payable.) If the quote is for more than £40 and you prefer the 30% option, you can notify us by e-mail, and we shall send you a new PayPal invoice to this effect.

  • You receive a receipt by e-mail confirming receipt of your payment.

  • Translation / correction of the text starts from the next working day (Monday-Friday).

  • If you have paid the total, you will receive your complete document processed. If you paid 30%, when 30% of your document is ready, you will receive it by e-mail. On receipt of the amount remaining, we shall process the rest of your document starting from the next working day (Monday-Friday).

  • Deliveries are made at the end of office hours on the date shown on the price quotation (unless otherwise arranged).

  • Our clients receive their documents with a SCORPIO receipt for their accounts.
